5-Star Reads Abound in January

As 2022 wrapped, I took a look back at my books read and a look at my TBR and did an inventory of the books that I REALLY wanted to read. And I moved them to the top of my TBR. What resulted was a month of phenomenal reading. Believe it or not, I read THREE full-fledged five-star books this month. In a typical year, I give a lot of 3.5-star and 4-star ratings. 4.5-star books get rounded up to 5 for Goodreads. A lot of those wind up on my Favorite Books list at the end of the year. But to read three books that blew me away in the first month of the year? Honestly, I hope that is a sign and doesn't mean it's all downhill from here.
This month, I gave little blurbs on my Insta Feed, so it is likely I won't get a lot of traffic here, but in the event that I have a few followers that read the whole blog, welcome and thank you. Below you will find a list in order by rating, of the 9 titles I finished in January. If you would like to read the full Goodreads Review, as always just click on the image.
Please note: Two of these books were NetGalley ARCs that have not been released yet. That said, they weren't the 5-star reads.
