I Read a Dozen Books in September

I'll say this for travel, limbo, and life in a new city where you don't really have a routine or friends to take up your time...it leaves a LOT of time for reading. And when you are walking around exploring? Audiobooks make you feel like you have company! If you are not already on the audiobook bandwagon and you want to read more books...I cannot emphasize enough how much listening to audiobooks has increased my consumption of all types of writing.

Not only did I go through a lot of titles, I read some REALLY good books. FOUR of the books I read this month were full FIVE STAR reads. People!! That is 25% of what I read! That is crazy. I mean, I am definitely choosing books I WANT to be reading but for that many to be fantastic? I had a really fabulous month of reading. A couple of the books were stinkers, so that was a bummer. But c'est la vie (literarie).

This month I read a few memoirs, Reese's Book Club Pick, the Audible freebie by book club favorite Jodi Picoult, a YA book, a really controversial op-ed style book that infuriated me, and some really fantastic pieces of fiction. Normally, I post in order by date read. This month I'm posting in order of ratings. So, from top to bottom, ranked by my star rating. If you'd like to see my full Goodreads Review, as always, click on the photo.
