When in Doubt...Read

March Madness isn't just basketball. It was our lives, lived in real-time. I won't go into detail because this is a blog about books, not about my insane life, but suffice to say 75% of my family unit cut bait and bailed on our life in Hong Kong. So, somehow we organized to leave, relocated us and the dog to our home in Colorado, started navigating school in the middle of the night, and didn't lose our minds. Somehow I also managed to read (or listen to) 9 books. I'd credit Hong Kong lockdown, a REALLY long journey that included a 12-hour layover, trying to stay awake until 1:00 am in solidarity with my kids, and my reliance upon audiobooks to keep me sane. As crazy as things have been, I feel solid in my reliance on escaping into books; both to make myself realize how unimportant my problems are and to put my own life into perspective. I will confess that I did not stick to my TBR. I found myself wanting to read mind candy and escapism. I will finish the books on my TBR, but it's going to take me well into April to accomplish that goal!

Without further ado, here are the books I read (and reviewed) in March of 2022. Entirely fiction, I was truly impressed by two titles and gave one a 4.5-star review, and my final book of the month absolutely floored me and garnered a full-glory 5-star review. In this blog, you'll get an overview only: a photo, the genre, and a rating. If you're interested in reading the full review, click the photo to go to the Goodreads review page.
